AromaTherapy - Pregnancy

Whilst caring is natural for parents, finding products that are caring and natural can be more of a challenge. It would like to share with you some of the valuable remedies that have relieved many tears, tantrums and hurdles of childhood health complaints time and time again.

Note: If vapourising with a candle oil burner please take extra care and keep out of baby's reach. An electric vapouriser if often recommended for safety reasons when young children are around.

Top

Colic
  • 1 drop Mandarin oil
  • 10ml Jojoba oil

gently onto stomach in clockwise direction.

Eczema
  • 1 drop Lavender oil
  • 15 drops Blue Chamomile3% oil
  • 10ml Jojoba oil
Apply to affected area

OR
  • Mix this same blend with 1/4 cup milk and add to bath.
Irritability
  • 1-2 drops Lavender oil
  • Add to bath water.
Mosquito Bites
  • 1 drop Lavender oil
  • 10ml Jojoba oil
Apply to affected area. This same mix can be applied as an insect repellent.

Nappy Rash
  • Calendula ointment
  • CalendCalendula infused oil
Apply to affected area.

Sleeplessness
  • Simply place one drop of Dreamtime on the pillow or on a tissue inside the pillow-slip. You can also vapourise Dreamtime in baby's bedroom.
  • Dilute one part Sleep Tight to four parts carrier oil (as per instructions on the label) and massage baby's feet before bed-time.
Teething
  • Chamomile3% oil
Rub directly onto outer cheek or
  • 1 drop Clove oil
  • 20ml Sweet Almond oil
Mix thoroughly and massage onto gums.
Important: Clove oil must be diluted as instructed to avoid damage to sensitive mouth tissue.
