HISTIDINE
Histidine is important in erythropoisis and leucopoisis making it of use in the treatment of anaemia and promotes zinc uptake in human erythrocytes.
Histadine has also been found necessary for the maintenance of myelin shealths and is also usful in aiding auditory dysfunction.Its supplementation stimulated growth by increasing zinc absorption which in turn thickened the plate in bones.
Histadine is also essential amino acid required for growth and for the survival of premature babies.Requirement of histidine is increased during childhood,after injury or at other times of tissue formation and repair.
Histidine prevents cataracts,promotes bone growth and it increases calcium absorption.Histidine has its promising role in rheumatoid arthritis.
