Lidoflazine
Adverse Effects
Side-effects associated with lidoflazine include gastro-intesti-
nal upset, transient dizziness, tinnitus and headache. Central
effect such as hallucinations have occurred. Lidoflazine may also
cause or aggravate sinus bradycardia, atrioventricular
block, and ventricular arrhythmias.
Uses and Administration
Lidoflazine is a calcium-channel blocker that reduces
atrioventricular conduction. It has been used in angina pec-
toris . A recommended oral dosage schedule was
60 mg daily initially for the first week, increased at weekly
intervals to 60 mg three times daily. Higher doses, up to
120 mg three times daily, have been given.
