Extract of 0.1 gm of fresh human placenta
Total Nitrogen - Not more than 0.25% w/w
Colour - Brilliant Blue FCF
Pharmacology
It is an activator of cellular biosynthesis favouring the anabolic phase and tissue repair.
Polydeoxyribonucleotides(PDRN) present in the human placental extract facilitates tissue repair & wound healing activities. The PDRN consists of a mixture of DNAs that allows release of growth factors. Wound healing is mediated by hydroxyproline synthesis and the immunorecrudescence property present in the placentrex.
The presence of nucleotides like DNA & RNA in PLACENTREX facilitates simultaneous anti-inflammatory and wound healing action. Wound healing is rather by reorganization than regeneration and is thought to be mediated by
stimulation of hydroxyproline synthesis. Through its immuno-recrudescence property also, Placentrex exhibits
simultaneous anti-inflammatory and wound healing effect. The anti-oxidant enzyme stimulating property contributes towards anti-inflammatory action.
PLACENTREX also contributes towards the anti-inflammatory action.
It increases the number of phagocytic cells by 3 times almost. Marked anti-oxidant action increases SOD activity & catalase activity by 60%.
The antiinflammatory action of placentrex is mediated either by inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis or by stimulation of lipocortins formation. It increase collagen synthesis, improves tensile strength of the healing tissue remarkably. It enhances the percentage of mean total protein, DNA, RNA, Hydroxyproline more than conventional therapy. It increase body’s defense mechanism significantly increasing WBC count by 62.65% & neutrophil count by 34.61% by 15TH day of treatment. It also increases the size of macrophages significantly.
