Azulene
The name 'Azulene' has also been used for a number of derivatives of azulene including azulene sodium sulphonate, chamazulene, guaiazulene, and sodium guaienate.
Azulene has been used in preparations for anorectal disorders. The sodium sulphonate salt has been used in preparations for oral hygiene and for dyspepsia; sodium guaienate has also been used in gastro-intestinal disorders.
