Domiphen Bromide
Colourless or faintly yellow crystalline flakes. Freely soluble
in water and in alcohol; soluble in acetone. Incompatible
with soaps and other anionic surfactants.
Domiphen bromide is a quaternary ammonium antiseptic
with actions and uses similar to those of other cationic sur-
factants (see Cetrimide). Lozenges containing domi-
phen bromide are used in the treatment of minor infections of
the mouth and throat.
